My Christmas Wishlist 2016

I have been making Christmas wish lists since I was a young girl. Here are a few of my favorite things on my wish list this year.

1) Lush Bath Bombs: I really want some bath bombs because I finally have a bath tub where I can take warm baths!! I found this cute set of Lush's website for less than $30 dollars.

2) Fossil Sydney Satchel*: I have seen this bag all over the internet and think it the perfect size! I also am obsessed with this wine color! I tend to buy black bags but this color is gorgeous!

3) Clinique Happy Perfume: This is my favorite perfume of all time and I ran out of it over the summer. It has a very fresh, citrusy scent.

4) Apple iPhone/Apple Watch Stand*: Right now, my iPhone and Apple watch just sit on the kitchen countertop when they are charing. I would like to get a nice stand like this to charge my devices on overnight, so that they do not get scratched.

5) Sneakers: I need some new sneakers for when I workout at home. The current pair I have are starting to fall apart because I have had them for so long.

These are just a few things on my Christmas wish list this year. What is on yours?

Beauty Review: Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer

Hi friends! Today I have another skincare review for you! I received the Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer last week and have been trying it out all week! Let's get into the review!

The Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer is described on the packing to "illuminate skin while providing all-day hydration."  The brand makes five claims about this product:

  • Lightens dark spots
  • Restores radiance
  • Evens skin tone
  • Diminishes fine lines
  • Provides all-day hydration

The moisturizer is made with all natural ingredients and is cruelty free. It is also made in the USA!

The moisturizer comes in a clear glass bottle with a plastic pump. The moisturizer can be applied both morning and night, but I typically apply in the morning after I take my shower. I use three to four pumps of products to cover my entire face and neck area. I would let the product sit on your face for a minute to absorb before applying any makeup. It did not break me out or cause any redness or irritation. My dark spots are definetly starting to fade after using this moisturize but I haven't noticed a huge difference in my fine lines. I will check back on social media if I noticed any more changes over time!

All in all, I enjoy using The Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer as part of my daily skincare routine. The full size 4oz bottle retails for $25.00 dollars on Amazon.  I think that is a great price for the amount of product you are receiving. You can also check on Valentia on Facebook and Instagram

Beauty Review: ARK Skincare

Hi everybody! Today I am going to be doing another beauty review of a skincare line I recently got to try out called ARK Skincare! Let's get into the review!

Photo taken with my iPhone 6

ARK Skincare is a British skincare brand, which treats skin by age and skin concern. Created in England, ARK Skincare products deliver professional, salon-grade results using the most innovative natural formulations. The result is a highly effective personalized skincare regime for every individual.

Why treat skin by age?

There are two main transition periods in the aging process where there is a dramatic shift in hormone production and a significant change in the way the body functions: late 20s to early 30s and late 50s to early 60s. ARK has looked at the skin externally and internally during these periods, to create three age-specific product ranges, which support skin with the optimum level of nourishment and skin-perfecting ingredients. Complemented by the Skin Perfector range of treatment products and the Skin Essential range of daily necessities, Ark Skincare offers a solution for all of your skincare needs.

Let' s get into the review. The first product I got to try was the ARK Skincare Age Defend Replenishing Moisturizer. This product has a pump, which always makes me happy. It has ingredients, such as Vitamin A to help keep skin strong, plump, and supple. It has a scent but it wasn't overwhelming. This moisturizer was a little thicker in consistency, so your skin can really absorb all the ingredients. This retails for $70 USD

The second product I got to try was the ARK Hydration Injection Masque. This is a mask that you are supposed to leave on for a specified amount of time depending on your age. For me, only 5 minutes. You are also only supposed to use once or twice a week. You can also leave on overnight for a more intense treatment. Again, this had a scent but wasn't overwhelming. Neither of these products caused me to break out. This mask also retails for $70 USD.

So, would I recommend this product? Yes, because I really enjoyed the effect these products on my skin. No, because they are expensive. If you enjoy luxurious makeup or skincare products, this might be for you.

Beauty Review: Aquation

Hi everyone! Today I am excited to review a new line of skincare products from the brand Aquation. I always love trying new lotions and cleansers, so when I found out I got to work with this brand, I was super excited! The best part is that you can find Aquation products at your local Walmart.

First, let me share some information about the brand and its product claims. Aquation products are made up of three key ingredients: Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, and Marine Algae.  Ceramides is naturally occurring and helps give your skin that fresh, youthful look. They also help prevent moisture loss. Hyaluronic Acid help's maintains the skin's water balance. Finally, Marina Algae helps provide moisture and helps prevent moisture loss from the skin's surface.

The products come in silver, plastic tubs, and they all come with a pump. When I first received the products, one of the pumps for the cream didn't work, so I messaged the brand and they sent me a new one, free of charge!

The cleanser was my favorite of the three products I got to review. It has a very thin consistency and has no fragrance, which I prefer. After applying to my face, it didn't itch or burn. It also left my skin feeling refreshed and very clean when I rinse off with warm water. It hasn't caused any breakouts or imperfections yet, so that is a gold star in my book.

I also enjoyed the cream and lotion. The cream was much thicker in consistency, as  I expected it to be.  It provided a lot of moisture for my skin and din't make me feel sticky or slimy.

If you are looking for a cheap, drugstore alternative for a cleanser and lotion, you should definetly try these out on your next trip to Walmart!

Hello July

Here we are, July 4th weekend! I sent yesterday hosting a BBQ with friends and family and we all had a great time together eating and drinking away the day! I know I haven't been the best blogger lately but I have been very focused on my part-time business as a health & fitness coach and haven't found the time for blogging. As per previous months, here are some of my goals for the month of July.

1) Kick A$$ at my Workout Program! I started a new workout program last week called Turbo Fire. My goal is to complete this program over the next 60 days and share my before and after pictures when I have completed this program. It is very difficult but I know I can do it!

2) Finish a PD Book! Part of my job as a health and fitness coach, requires me to read personal development books. My goal for July is to finish one of those books I have purchased but haven't gotten around to reading. These books help give someone confidence.

3) Grow my Social Media Following! I want to work on growing my Facebook Like page and Instagram accounts this month. I am going to achieve this by posting on my accounts consistently 2-3 times daily. If you aren't already following on Facebook and Instagram, feel free to check them out!

4) More blogging! In the month of July, I want to commit to posting at least once a week on this blog. I have been slacking off but really do enjoy blogging.

5) Save Money! This is always a goal for me! I want to try very hard for the rest of the year to double the amount of money in my savings account.

Do you have anything planned for July? I'd love to hear what you're going to be up to and what you're hoping to achieve!

How to Save Money on Etsy | elizabethkathrynx

Welcome back to the blog! Today I am going to share with you some helpful tips on how to save money on Etsy! If you are new to the planner community and decorating your planner, buying stickers can get expensive pretty quickly! I never thought I would become a planner girl but it has really helped me become more organized and I just overall have a fun time decorating my planner! I didn't want to give up on buying cute planner stickers, so here are my tips on how to save money on Etsy!

1) Always use coupon codes! Etsy stickers shops are really great with coupon codes. I find most shops almost always have an active coupon code and it's really easy to find them. Sometimes, the shops will list coupon codes directly in the shop description on Etsy for a certain discount on your order or for free shipping. Many shops also have coupon codes specifically for their social media followers, specifically on Instagram. In addition, some sticker shops also have Facebook groups. I highly recommend joining because shop owners will sometimes announce secret sales or have special coupon codes for the folks in the group. It's also a great way to meet our planner girls and to learn how other people use their planner stickers!

2) Buy in bulk. I recommend that when you are going to buy stickers on Etsy, to buy them in bulk rather than place multiple small orders. This way you will wind up actually saving on your purchase because you won't be paying for shipping and handling costs on multiple orders, you will only be paying once. Plan out your purchases buy using Pinterest or following when the shop puts out new releases and always keep an eye out for shop sales to save even more money!

3) Weekly Kits. Most sticker shops offer weekly kits. What is a weekly kit? A kit typically comes with 3-6 sheets of stickers in a specific theme or genre. Instead of buying each sheet individually, you will receive a set of sheets at one bundled price. The benefit to buying weekly kits is that you typically don't use all the stickers in the kit and you can use them multiple times in your planner. Shops typically will offer weekly and monthly kits in a variety of themes.

4) Only buy what you will use. This is a very hard mantra to follow when you are new to the planner community. There are so many cute stickers on Etsy and I would love to buy them all but I don't have a use for everything. I tend to be more of a functional planner and not so much decorative. I don't typically do "no white space" spreads, I like using checklists and half-boxes. I would watch plan with me" videos on youtube or follow some sticker shops on social media to get an idea of what type of planning style you think you will like before you start buying tons of stickers.

5) Planner buddy. A planner buddy is like a pen-pal. You can find them through Facebook Groups or even ask your friends if they like to decorate their planners. You can setup a spending limit and swap supplies weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly. You can find out what you each like and then do your swaps! I have done them before and they are really fun because you'll get to try stickers and planner supplies that you might not be able to find out your local craft store!

6) Printable Stickers. Some Etsy shops offer printable stickers. What does this mean? The shop will supply the digital media for the stickers and then it will be your responsibility to print and cut the stickers yourself. This can save you time and money when planning. Of course, in order to print and cut your own stickers, you will need a good printer and a cutting machine, such as a Cricut or a Silhouette.

I hope you enjoyed these six ways to saving money when shopping on Etsy! What are you favorite Etsy sticker shops? What is your planning style? I'd love to know!
